Jonah Towler

Product marketing & go-to-market leader

I help technology companies simplify complex products, build strong go-to-market strategies, and connect products with the people they're built for.

A little about me

A career built around the space between product and customer.

I started my career in Australia, working with early-stage companies and helping scale a growing fleet technology business before moving to the US and progressing into marketing leadership roles.

These days I work across product marketing, GTM, brand, digital, campaigns, and customer acquisition — usually somewhere between the product team and the people we're trying to reach.

Some skills picked up along the way

A little bit of everything.

Years of working across startups, technology and marketing has made me pretty comfortable jumping between strategy, creative, execution and the occasional spreadsheet. Increasingly, that also means using AI and automation to move faster, test more ideas and reduce the busywork.

The way I tend to work

Simple ideas.
Good execution.

I like getting stuck into the product, understanding the customer, and turning good ideas into something useful, clear, and shippable.

01

Get curious

Understand the product, customer and business before jumping into tactics.

02

Find the story

Work out what actually matters and turn complexity into something people understand.

03

Get it out there

Launch, test and learn rather than spending six months polishing the strategy.

04

Double down

When something works, build a system around it and scale it.

A few things I've learned

Lessons from the trenches.

Not everything needs a framework. Sometimes the best marketing advice is pretty simple.

01
“A good plan executed is better than a great plan too late.”

Momentum matters. A useful plan in the real world usually beats a perfect plan that never ships.

02
“Customer at the center, always.”

Lead your brand with the customer. Start with what they need, not everything you want to tell them.

03
“Don't overcomplicate it.”

Your online presence has a job: convert. It doesn't need to explain everything you do in exhaustive detail.

04
“Move fast, break things, and find what works.”

Test, learn and keep moving. You learn more from something in market than something sitting in a meeting.

05
“Perfection almost never arrives.”

Focus on a few winning strategies you can scale, then ship them at pace.

06
“Don't sweat the small stuff.”

The internet moves on quickly. Keep perspective and save the energy for things that actually matter.
